A soulful Kerala Treat!

Authentically… North Indian!

Namaste Friends of The Raj

If it’s a fish dish that you craving, how about ordering our very soulful Fish Malabar!

This dish is one of our best sellers throughout the year, but especially during Easter. Our guests enjoy the rich, but sweet taste of a delicate sauce wherein pieces of kingklip are sauteed and simmered.

The sauce consists of a freshly ground mixture of coconut, coriander, chilli, cumin seeds, somph, mustards seeds, garlic and curry leaves.

Known as Malabar Curry, it originated from the Malabar district in the South of India, namely Kerala. Due to the abundance of seafood found in this region, fish became a staple food for families living there. In addition to the array of spice fields found throughout the area, this dish became known as the indulgence of Kerala, mixing spice and the catch of the day.

Friends, if the sound of creamy coconut,  deep rich spices and fresh fish sounds like a promising meal to order, we look forward to indulging your tastebuds. Our Fish Malabar is accompanied by complimentary basmati rice, however I would recommend ordering a roomali roti to elevate the dining experience.
