A Savoury ‘Street Food’ Snack

Authentically… North Indian !!!

Namaste Friends of The Raj

I would like to introduce to you a new item on The Raj menu namely, Chaat. If you haven’t yet thought of ordering this dish, I highly recommend that you do.

Whether you in the mood for just an Indian style starter to fill the hunger pangs or you visiting the restaurant to enjoy a starter, main and dessert, give this ‘street food’ a try.

It’s a light, refreshing dish that will have you wanting to order the meal again and again. The Raj serves two variations, Channa Chaat and Punjabi Channa Chaat.

Channa Chaat is freshly cooked chickpeas tossed with tomato, onion and coriander, drizzled with mint and coriander chutney, tamarind chutney and yoghurt sprinkled with chaat masala.

Punjabi Channa Chaat is potato filled punjabi samoosa tossed with tomato, onion and coriander, drizzled with mint and coriander chutney, tamarind chutney and yoghurt sprinkled with Kashmiri paprika.

Just a fun fact, the word Chaat is derived from the word Chaatna, which means to lick your fingers due to the deliciousness of the taste.

To all guests in search of something different on your next visit to The Raj, this tasty treat is worth a try.
